Teaching Tip: Have your child try to make the different faces as they create them. Use a mirror so your child can see his or herself. Make faces with your child!

Teaching Tip: Ask your your child what scenarios would make him or her feel each emotion. Give examples of what you think might make your child have a certain emotion. You could also incorporate what choices your child has when feeling an emotion. For example, if your child feels angry when his younger sibling screams, your child could scream back, go to another room, ask the sibling to stop, or cover the sibling's mouth to stop the scream. Ask your child what would be a good choice.
